Working Group 3 - Asia and the Pacific Regional Geodetic Networks

Dear Colleague

The APRGP October 1997 observation campaign commences in a few days.

Arrangements are in place for the Shanghai Observatory to coordinate and collate the VLBI observations and the Western Pacific Laser Tracking Network group (WPLTN) to participate with SLR observations. The WPLTN sites invited to participate are:

The one week GPS campaign coinciding with GPS week 927 commences at zero hours UT on 12 October 1997 and ends at zero hours UT 19 October 1997. GPS sites notified as participating in addition to those listed with the attachments to Circular 2 are:

Please advise me if any other GPS sites will contribute data so that I can update the list of participating sites.

At the completion of the GPS campaign, please send the RINEX data files and copies of the observation log sheets to AUSLIG for collation. The preferred method to transmit the RINEX data files is via FTP, or if this is unavailable, please send the files on diskettes via the postal or courier system.
